Who you contract with

schoolwerkhulp is provided by Van Toor Business, trading as schoolwerkhulp. By using the app you agree to these terms and enter into an agreement with us.

The service

schoolwerkhulp helps parents understand homework, check a child's own answers and practise reading, spelling, writing and maths. It explains tasks with examples; it does not do the child's homework.

Your account

Accounts are for parents and guardians aged 18 or over. Keep your sign-in details private; you are responsible for activity on your account. Please keep your details accurate.

Free tries and plans

Eenvoudig huiswerk scannen en uitleg blijven gratis, zonder account of abonnement. Antwoorden nakijken en elke oefenactiviteit kun je in totaal 2 keer gratis proberen, niet per dag. Daarna geeft een betaald abonnement toegang tot alle functies, groepen en niveaus. Je betaalt per gezin naar het aantal kinderen: per maand (automatisch verlengd) of per jaar (één betaling voor 12 maanden, zonder automatische verlenging).

Betalingen

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Cancelling

You can cancel a monthly plan at any time in Settings. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Your data is kept for 1 month after your paid access ends, and we send a reminder to renew. If you don't renew, your account data and your children's profiles and progress are deleted automatically at the end of that month.

Acceptable use

Do not use the app unlawfully, for fraud or spam, to infringe others' rights, or to interfere with its security (for example malware, probing or scraping). Do not reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the service.

AI explanations

Explanations and feedback are created with AI and may sometimes be inaccurate. Use them as support alongside your own judgement and the school's guidance. We may refuse or remove content that breaks these terms.

Ownership

We own the app, its software, content and branding. You get a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use it within your plan. You keep the rights to homework you upload; you let us process it only to provide the service.

Availability and liability

We work hard to keep schoolwerkhulp running but cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid in the previous 12 months, and we are not liable for indirect losses. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Suspension

We may suspend or end access for a serious breach of these terms, non-payment, or a security or fraud risk.

Law

These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, without affecting your consumer rights.
